Amy Pierce has been teaching infant massage to the public since 2004 and has been certified to teach Baby’s First Massage® since 2008. She has been especially honored to teach certification courses since 2010. Amy believes that massage of newborns can profoundly improve their first perceptions of their environment. She envisions ALL babies receiving this loving touch so that our world will evolve to be more peaceful and connected.
A North Carolina Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist since 2002, Amy is the owner of Massage Therapy for Women, which includes Peaceful Beginnings Massage for Fertility, Pregnancy, Birth and Baby. In 2004, Amy became a certified Nurturing the Mother® Fertility, Pregnancy, Postpartum, Infant Massage and Labor Massage therapist. She now assists Claire Marie Miller in teaching these CEU courses annually.
Amy lives in Wilmington, NC, where she grew up, with her husband and son. Amy is a homebirth mom and supports families in choosing the most peaceful birth experience they can while honoring the birth choices that are most natural for them. She frequently has the opportunity to assist families when she offers private “Easing Through Labor” classes and group “Yoga & Massage for Labor” workshops with yoga teacher, Heather Till.
