Amy Stenger-Sullivan, a graduate of Self Health Institute, has been a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Ohio since 1995 and has maintained a private practice throughout that time. In addition to her extensive table work, Amy has a wealth of training experience. She is an experienced, innovative and engaging educator who brings her knowledge of the human body and application of bodywork techniques, understanding of learning styles and humor to the classroom environment.
Her years at the table have allowed Amy to develop a keen sense of what clients need and how best to support client healing. As a full time Massage Therapist, Amy has gained significant and diverse “hands on” experience. She works with her deep intuition, listening to the body and combining techniques she has developed over the years.
In 2000, Amy began training colleagues and students within the Massage Therapy field. As a trainer, she has developed deep expertise in a wide range of topics including pregnancy, infant and fertility massage, and reflexology. In 1998, Amy became a certified instructor for Baby’s First Massage® and was immediately impressed by the research-based, comprehensive program. Amy is currently an NCBTMB Approved Provider and has been a Nationally Certified Instructor for Claire Marie Miller Seminars since 2004.
In 2014, after working closely with Theresa for many years and developing a passion for bringing the joy and healing of massage to babies and their families, Amy took the lead at Baby’s First Massage®. She is humbled and excited to continue to share this incredible program with trainers, infants, and parents in her new role.
Prior to her licensure as a Massage Therapist, Amy provided training to a variety of audiences, from teens to older adults, on subjects ranging from employability skills to alcohol and other drug abuse prevention.
