All Sessions @ Bodies ‘N Balance
For over 38 years, my passion, and the heart of my life’s work, has been to support and serve women during their childbearing years. Working as a massage therapist, childbirth educator, doula, and infant massage trainer and instructor, my journey has taken me into churches, schools, homes, hospitals (OB, NICU and pediatric units), and a wide variety of communities.
My professional background includes study in many areas. I have dual degrees in Nursing and Religion from Millikin University, and I am a licensed RN and Massage Therapist with the State of Illinois. I also earned a diploma in Healing Arts from the Body Therapy School of Massage at Southwestern University. Additionally, I gained special experience and clinical training in trans-cultural and holistic nursing at the Navajo Reservation in Arizona.
Personally, I am a mother and the grandmother of ten wonderful grandchildren.
The Navajo Community taught me there is a need everywhere, and we must open our hearts and connect through the power of touch. As a Baby’s First Massage® instructor, I have the opportunity to teach parents and caregivers to use that power. Through nurturing, listening touch, we can enhance parent infant bonding and improve and maintain the physical wellbeing of families everywhere.
